Frankenweg: Pottenstein to Tüchersfeld
Wet leaves, empty paths and the best light of the year. The section past the rock towers above Tüchersfeld is short but steep; good shoes help. Bus back from the village runs hourly on weekends.

Started from Kirchehrenbach just after sunrise. The plateau was completely in the clouds, which made the chapel appear out of nowhere. Coffee afterwards in Forchheim.

Thin gloves, a spare base layer, headlamp (it gets dark at six), offline map, a thermos. Everything else is optional.
